The centrality of the therapeutic, and therapist, conviction that reconnection to others is a central aim of the psychotherapeutic process is brought under examination. Re-connection implies a connection has existed. This premise may be inaccurate as far the inner structure of people with early and chronic severe relational trauma. The significance of this perspective is explored for its relevance to the understanding of processes of attachment, bonding, and dependency. And its impact on clinical practice.##submission.downloads##
