This paper provides a reflection on the impact of gender in the construction of masculinity and femininity. Particular attention is paid to how gender stereotypes are created and how they affect people. The contribution of new concepts such as interrelatedness and bonding will be discussed in relation to their impact on psychotherapy. Specifically, ways that Bioenergetic Analysts can benefit from these new approaches and concepts will be provided.Downloads
